Fossil Creek, AZ

After hard long days worth of work and nine and a half hours of driving it was time to sleep. The groud of travelers were of into there own heads with dreams of what the next day would bring each excited in their own way for what would be. Early sun rays brings everyone to life with amazment at the warmth each was feeling from the sun. After a quick bite it was back into the car for the drive to the take out. After arriving and doing a bit of reconasence the group load gear into boats and began the mile and a half trek to the put in each carrying his or her own boat making the distance seam much greater. The first half of the group being so excited that containment was impossible. Through the thorn riddled bushes and boulder choked river bed they pushed joking the entire way. Then it came upon them the first real drop. The put in was only a few yards farther. A short wait for the rest of the group was to much to take they suited up for the first drop with the decision made that they would just run the drop over and over until the rest of the crew caught up. After a few quick rapids in the 65 degree water they where at the top of the water fall that they were to drop. The rest of the group showed up just in time for the first of the group to go over the falls. The three paddlers ready and excited looked at the probe with excitment knowing he would go without hesitation and watched him disappear into the roar of the water below. The others following shortly after each without incident. The next few hours were spent taking turns letting gravity have its way with them. After running the rest of the section the group regailed about the days magic as they relaxed in the 85 degree weather. It was now time to part ways and begin the drive home. Half the group crashing at a friends house in Flagstaff the other halfs were abouts unkown.
