Bowie to Bowie?

So I was out on the trail this week with the boys group if you can call it that. I was originally meant to be with the adult group in Moab yet I got shifted to boys group canyoneering in Robbers Roost. The trip was amazing from devouring a black forest cake like savages on a fresh kill to petroglyphs. We dropped into the Roost thus the reason I was switched to that group for my rope work skills. We called it expaneering. A combination between canyoneering and expedition style backpacking. Slot canyons and expedition packs. We made it through the slots and repels with no problems had beautiful weather and lots of ice to slide one like penguins and student bowling. the last day in the roost we had to hike to our previous camp for a note book that a student left then back to our gear to pack up and hike out to the car. This is where the adventure really begins. We arrived at the suburban to find the rear left tire flat. There was no jack, tire iron, or even basic tools. Our options are try to drive on the rime or I run the 22 miles to get the other car at the other en of the roost. So off I went. Running what I could and it turned out to be not as much as I would have liked to run for the roads had turned to mud. so I got to the other car much later then I had intended and the others started to worry about me so they took the O2 medical tank and McGivered the tank to fill the tire enough to drive on so we met each other on the road and had a dance party, well, they danced I sat soar from my all told roughly 28 mile day in under 10 hours with more then 2,000 vertical foot gain. We made it back to base the next day the majority of the groups went to ski n park city. My self and another fellow stayed behind to watch the run watch kids. We found the best natural jump for some extreme sledding. I now have the biggest bruise I have ever had in my life on my left butt cheek for I found the only large rock hiding in the snow. It turned out to be an epic and one of the funnest weeks I have had in such a long time.
